今日は、ケンタくんでございます。
顔もお尻も大きくて、推定２００kgというたくましい身体の持ち主でした。これはケンタの「におい」だとわかるくらい、体臭もご立派だったようです。
日本のゴリラ繁殖の期待を背負って、京都→上野→千葉と住まいを移しました。どちらかというと、口を一文字にキュッと結んでいるイメージが強かったのですが、図鑑のケンタくんは素敵な笑みを浮かべていたので、描いてみました(2008年10月当時）。

Kenta-kun.
He had a large face and rear, boasting a sturdy physique estimated at 200kg. His body odor was apparently quite impressive too—so much so that you could recognize it as Kenta’s “scent.”
Carrying Japan’s hopes for gorilla breeding, he moved from Kyoto to Ueno to Chiba. While he often gave the impression of keeping his mouth tightly pursed, the Kenta in the encyclopedia had such a lovely smile, so I drew him that way (as of October 2008).
